Introducing Lucy Clark who is one of our team of fabulous virtual assistants.
Lucy’s VA career began during lockdown 2020 when she took part in a Digital Skills course and realised the vast array of transferrable skills she held could be used to benefit multiple small businesses with their day-to-day admin burden.
She has over 15 years of experience in admin and office management within the I.T. and recruitment industries, and holds her MBA and an NVQ in Recruitment Resourcing.
She lives in Trafford, with a young family and enjoys family days out, catching up with friends, and regular gym classes.
How did you come to be a part of the Clear Day team Lucy?
I had been following Helen on Instagram or LinkedIn since I started my VA journey, and I saw a post that had a call to action at the bottom asking if people would like to join the Clear Day team. I clicked apply and filled in the form, and then Helen and I met up in person at Sale Water Park for a coffee. Our approaches fitted together well so I joined the team!
How do you uphold the Clear Day values of calm, clarity, confidence, focus and progress?
Calm is just me. I like to take a calm approach to everything, I don’t get flustered. I try to be as clear as possible when going through what clients are looking for. If clients have queries, I make sure to communicate back to them, and I structure my time so that I can deliver what I need to deliver for everybody. I think my confidence has grown in this last year. I’ve been doing more and more networking and having those conversations week in week out has helped my confidence in my ability to deliver what clients need.
When it comes to focus, I try to keep clients accountable. So if we say we’re going to do something, I follow up with them and keep them on track. Whether that is through systems or just a quick message – I am happy to be flexible in how I work. Not every system is right for everybody.
Describe your ideal client:
I haven’t found anybody yet whom I haven’t enjoyed working with. I particularly enjoy working with solo female business owners who are service providers. I just like to support people, and if they’re warm and open and willing to offload and share what they need, I’m happy to help them.
